Welcome! My name is Maryn Sanders, and I am a PhD candidate at the University of Oregon working with Josh Roering in the Department of Earth Sciences.
I am a process-based geomorphologist interested in how geologic history, climate, and topography modulate the rates and magnitudes of debris flow hazards, landscape evolution, and post-fire processes.
I utilize field observations, geomorphic mapping, lidar modeling and analysis, physically-based modeling, and statistical methods to extract predictive relationships from complex topographic, geologic, and climatic data.
